6th June '20 was indeed an auspicious day for all at St. Karen’s Collegiate School. The blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed school building was held.
The ribbon cutting ceremony by Mrs.L.B.Galstaun, our beloved Big Ma'am, marked the official opening of the school building at Bailey Road. It was a historical day as it was the inauguration of St.Karen's Collegiate School building as well as the 75th birthday celebration of Honourable Big Ma'am. This edifice of learning was blessed by Reverend Father Martin Anand. The vibrant inauguration was witnessed by Mr. D.P. Galstaun ( school founder and Director Sir) Mr. Anup Raj Yadav ( owner), Respected Edward Sir (Asst. Director), Respected Sharon Ma'am(Academic Head) ,l Principals, Vice Principals, Coordinators of all the wings of St.Karen's School and the esteemed guests.
The ceremony started with the kindling of the auspicious lamp which signified knowledge and presence of divine. All the dignitaries along with the school staff offered prayers to light the minds and enrich the future of students. The Headmistress of St. Karen's Collegiate School,Dr.Manisha Lall accorded a formal welcome to the guests.The speeches by Director Sir and Asst. Director Sir spurred all the staff into untiring productive action and unwavering dedication.
The celebration started by presentation of a semi classical prayer dance by our teachers . This was followed by the Prayer song (10000 reasons ),sung beautifully and a fusion dance by our teachers which added charm to the entire programme.
The day was also a special one for all the Karenites as we celebrated the 75th Birthday of our Beloved Big Ma'am by cutting a cake.
The unveiling of the collage by Big Ma'am took the Collegiate Karenites down the memory lane reminiscing the great occasions that we spent in her company.
The heads of all branches and teachers gave their warm wishes with a lively birthday song. The programme ended with a vote of thanks to all the guests and invitees who made the day a memorable one, by their presence.
