Parents desiring admission for their children are required to procure the
application form for registration after depositing the necessary fee.
After duly filling it up it is to be returned within the stipulated date &
time. The registration fee is not refundable, nor does it constitute any
assurance for admission.
Children are usually admitted into Std. I and above every year. However, a
few children may be admitted to other classes only if casual vacancies
occur.
Admission will be done as per the number of seats available.
(i) Availing of the Application Form and registering the candidate does
not guarantee admission to St. Karen’s Collegiate School.
(ii) The Candidate must have completed (6) Six years as on 31st March for
admission to Std. I.
(iii) Parents are required to meet the selection committee as per the time
and date given on submission of Application Form.
(iv) Attach Photostat copies of the following with the Application Form :
(a) Birth Certificate from Municipal Corporation or Panchayat and Aadhar
Card is mandatory.
(b) If Christian, Baptism Certificate and a letter from the parish priest.
(c) Any one for proof of residence :-
(i) (a) Ration Card (b) Election ID (ii) Current Landline Telephone Bill
(iii) Current Electricity Bill (iv) Aadhar card.
(d) Photocopy of the school Identity Card if the sibling is studying in
St. Karen’s Collegiate School.
(e) Cast Certificate (SC, ST, OBC) for statistical purposes only.
(v) Original Certificates should not be attached to the Application Form,
they must be produced at the time of verification of the form by the
Selection Committee.
(vi) It is the responsibility of the parents to see that the Application
Form is complete in all respect. Incomplete/illegibly
written/overwritten/lack of supportive documents or certificates will lead
to rejection of the Application Form. False documents/incorrect
information found at any time, even after admission, will debar the
candidate from getting admission or pursuing studies.
(vii) One recent passport size photo of the candidate and two passport
size family photos (Father, Mother & Candidate) must be submitted with the
application form.
(viii) All documents submitted at any time will become the property of the
school and will not be returned.
(ix) Selection of the candidates will be done by a committee. No
correspondence will be solicited regarding selection and admission of the
candidates. Any recommendation, use of influence (direct or indirect),
offer of donation etc. will lead to the cancellation of the application
form/Admission of the candidate.
(x) If selected, admission must be taken within the time, given for
admission. Thereafter the candidate will forfeit the chance for admission.
The list will be put up on the School Notice Board.
(xi) Preference will be given to the candidates of the following
categories who fulfill the other eligibility criteria for admission :
Christian Candidates, children of Ex-Karenites, siblings of students
studying in St Karen’s Collegiate School and students from the
neighbourhood, children of School Staff/Faculty.
*Re Admission: Readmission will only be done
as per rules and orders of the Principal, provided seats are available. It
will be done on payment of Rs. 2000/- which is the school’s readmission
fee plus payment of dues if any.
